Workout Motivation – 5 Powerful Questions You Need To Ask Yourself

The Self Workout Motivation -

Whether you want to work out at home or you want to grind in the gym, unless the voice inside is ready for challenge, no one can help you get in shape and feel yourself improve and your body grow. I can post pictures with captions like Workout Motivation with encouraging quotes. I am pretty sure you’ll scroll away.

I can bet that if you ask yourself these questions and think about the answers, actually have a conversation with yourself. You will be unstoppable, given that you convince yourself to workout..

Like i said, the only Workout Motivation you need is inside you.

Workout Motivation - It is inside you!

The points I have mentioned below are pretty straightforward. I am just trying to initiate a conversation between you and the person in you. I want you to ask yourself if you aim to be better or not.

Forget for a minute all the Instagram influencers posting Workout videos or workout at home videos. They have been through the most challenging phase—the START.

Take motivation from them, but don’t have this image that you will look like them in a week or so. Its hard work, but the scene on the other side is magical. It would be best if you changed for yourself; we can impress the world later.

What am I doing differently?

The points I have mentioned below are pretty straightforward. I am just trying to initiate a conversation between you and the person in you. I want you to ask yourself if you aim to be better or not.

Forget for a minute all the Instagram influencers posting Workout videos or workout at home videos. They have been through the most challenging phase—the START.

Take motivation from them, but don’t have this image that you will look like them in a week or so. Its hard work, but the scene on the other side is magical. It would be best if you changed for yourself; we can impress the world later.

A little change I saw in me

Speaking from personal experience, I have lost 12kgs in the last 4 months by working out at home and using the minimum equipment. Not only have I lost fat, but I have also improved my posture, the arms are getting bigger, and my chest looks so much better. All this I have done is with a very casual but disciplined workout routine and diet.

Looking at myself helps me feel motivated to workout. There is a long road ahead but We will acheive it.

Let me help you with the motivation to get your ass up and get fit.

Disclaimer: I do not believe that a man or a female should look like the humans we see on the Internet, supporting rocking hard abs and toned arms. If you want to look like that, Go for it, but I want to stay in shape by working out and not run out of breath while going up the stairs.

All I am trying is to make you feel that Workout Motivation from Inside. Don’t aim for the stars right in the very beginning, aim to jump a little higher every time.

DO YOU WANT TO WORKOUT?

Okay, ask yourself If you want to change. It is essential because if you force yourself to workout, you might start to hate it too. There are chances that you will continue working out, but the probability is you probably won’t.

You and only you can be the motivation to work out for you. Your mindset is the most critical factor to help you finish what you started. Unless you don’t want it, no amount of external support or pep talk will help.

If you have answered Yes to the question above, Let’s proceed. If you have answered No, you can still read it; maybe something will motivate you.

Ask Yourself, "Do I want to change or stay the same?"

Find a Reason to Workout

Like I have mentioned above, unless you are not ready, nothing can help you. That is why the next thing you need is a strong reason to change yourself. Humans tend to be motivated for a few days and then fall right back to where we started unless they have an absolute reason to change it.

Now, this part may be complicated. Maybe you looked in the mirror while taking a shower, and you were not happy with what you saw. Perhaps, while going up the stairs, you pray for the power to teleport or, maybe, an elevator.

Whatever the reason, unless you don’t have one, it is tough to push or convince yourself. So, spend some time with yourself and ask yourself If there is something you want to change. Find the reason to have that Workout Motivation. Something to light up the fire.

Ask Yourself, "Should I prove the quitter in me wrong?"

The Fitness journey is not easy

I have had many days where I thought of giving up on working out. We have so many distractions that we mess up our priorities, which makes us lose focus.

The day after day of working out WILL be tedious. There will be days where you would want to skip, and then these days will start to pile up. You will have guilt, little hate for yourself, and will feel ashamed of your discipline.

There will be days when you will not see any progress, and those days will demotivate you, and you will feel like all this makes no sense. All this effort is not helping at all.

The only thing you need to make sure is that you ignore these vibes like you ignore privacy policies. Once you jump over a few obstacles, the road ahead will be smooth.

If you want to make a change, make sure you have convinced yourself enough to fight through all the barriers in the way.

Ask Yourself, "Do I want to start, quit, and feel sorry, or do I want to be proud of myself?"

It is you vs. you!!

When you are working out, you are doing it for yourself. Maybe, indirectly for other people, but the main focus should be to improve yourself.

Before I started working out from home, I read this quote, ” Push yourself today, and thank yourself in 3 weeks”. I can say that IT IS REAL. I do not have that fantastic, greek god body yet, but what I do have is a body shape better than two weeks ago.

These little things motivate you to push yourself even more. They pile up, and one day you will have a pedestal of positive and memorable days you can share with other people.

Again, like I have been saying, You are your Workout Motivation

Ask Yourself, "Will the ME in 10 years thank the ME today?"

Throw your excuses away

WE all are guilty of making excuses to avoid doing things till the last minute. I think, its time to kick that habit away.

I started my workouts by doing push-ups and squats, and those were enough to motivate me to carry on. Then slowly, you can invest a little money and buy a yoga mat and a resistance band. These two things are more than enough to help you get a majority of exercises done. I purchased Rs. 600 shoes, and they have been amazing so far. You don’t have to aim for Nike and co.

We have wasted so many money on things that were harming me, I think, you can invest a little in something that will help you.

Stop telling yourself that there is not enough space in your house. We know You know that there is!!

Ask yourself, "How many things I could have done in the past only if I didn't procrastinate? Do I want to feel the same again?"

The two-minute rule :

More than a thought, this one is science. Maybe you can relate to this. When you are trying to avoid doing something, but you finally decide to do it. It usually seems so easy, and you wonder why you didn’t do it before.

The 2-minute rule helps you do that.

This strategy has the power to influence your decision making and the outcome. In laymen’s terms, if it takes less than 2 minutes, do it.

Do you know what takes less than 2-minutes? Getting up, putting on the shoes, and pacing around in the room to get rid of that lazy gene in you. There are 99% chances you will finish the workout once you have the boots on, and you stretch a little. Warm yourself a little bit.

Ask yourself, "Can I, for once, give two minutes of my time to working out, something that will benefit me?"

Conclusion

These questions are not some random thoughts or words I joined together. I have applied them to my life. I have stood in front of the mirror, staring myself right in the eye and asking these questions to me.

These are your self Workout Motivation questions. Feel free to branch out to help yourself even more.

It is not a one-day thing. You have to repeat the process. Every 3 days or 5 days, come back face to face with you and ask yourself the same things. I can bet if you have been working out, your body will look different, and you will be more confident than you were during the last conversation.

Getting fit or working out is no rocket science, but it is still one thing that many of us cannot apply in our lives. Talk to yourself and stare at yourself in the mirror. See the person you want to be.

These are just a few points to help you get started on the road to working out. The journey will not be comfortable, but believe in yourself and remember :

“You will be thanking yourself in 3 weeks.”

Even if you start working from home, you can see results in a matter of weeks.
